“As soon as I walked through the gates of Cowley Hill just a few months ago, I knew that this was where I was going to be keeping my gelding. The facilities are excellent and the people are very friendly. The hacking is great, I still have more to explore and am hoping to be moving my filly here as soon as she's weaned. I would definitely recommend Cowley Hill Livery to anyone looking for 5 star accommodation for their horse."

“My horse has only been stabled at Cowley Hill Livery Stables for about three months but I have only positive things to say - lovely situation, fantastic hacking with good grazing and facilities. Cowley Hill is a relaxed, friendly yard and all livery services are carried out to a very high standard. I thoroughly recommend!”

"I started sharing a horse at Cowley Hill a little over a year ago and have always found it to be a super-friendly yard to be on. There's fantastic hacking all around the area, including plenty of field perimeters and tracks to ride along without the need to set hoof on a road and a good group of fellow hackers to go out exploring with. The ménage has a superb surface and is well flood-lit for darker mornings and evenings and the all-weather gallop track is fantastic. A great yard - I heartily recommend it!."

“Cowley Hill Livery Stables is one of the nicest yards I have ever been at. It's not your normal "average" yard with bitchy people and people who only judge you on what type of horse you have, how much money you have got, or how you can ride! It's full of friendly people who will offer you advice if you want it or keep their noses out until you ask them. When I eventually get another horse I hope there will be a space for me there: the livery and service prices are very good for what you get. 5 stars ***** :-)

“My horse and I were both really happy at Cowley Hill Livery Stables. The facilities are good and the security there is very high, it’s also in a great location. Robin and Piera are the friendliest livery yard owners I've ever met and they run the yard very efficiently! Anyone thinking of moving there - all I can say is DO! You won't regret it.”

"Both myself and my horse were very happy at Cowley Hill, it has everything you need along with a great crowd of people. Having struggled to find a yard that met our needs, it was nice to find somewhere utterly sensible regarding turnout, none of this ‘horses can’t go out until 9am and must be back in by 4pm’ which I ran into a lot and is clearly impossible if you work full time!!!! Great off-road hacking and loads of all-year turnout also make life as a working horse owner that little bit easier - as does Lisa, the fantastic onsite services lady. I only left due to relocation and would move back there if I ever move back to Borehamwood."

“I really enjoyed my time at Cowley Hill with my loan horse. I particularly loved (and miss) the all-weather gallops and the direct access to hacking. Robin and Piera were great yard managers, who worked hard to keep the facilities up to scratch and did a fantastic job. We're still in regular contact.”

“I can't remember how long I spent at Cowley Hill but the memories are happy ones. It was the only yard around that offered all year round turn-out which, for me, was needed as I had a youngster. They also have a very good lunging arena with high sides so that nothing could jump out, ha, ha! They had a cosy tea room where there was a kettle, micro-wave and plenty of chairs to rest the tired bones after a hard hour’s mucking out. The thing that I found really handy was that everything was close together and undercover, which meant you didn’t have to get too wet. There were lots of different people - some happy hackers, show ponies/horses, show-jumpers and a western riders, so there was always something going on. All in all, an active, happy yard.”
